High School Musical!

*shouts in disbelief*

Ok, so here's the the thing. A month ago, while I was on my way home after church, I took bus 80 home with Pam. She talked on and on about something called High School Musical, and how she couldn't wait for it to appear on Disney Channel. She had been watching the trailer on Youtube, and also talked about a Clay Aiken look-alike.

Last sunday, as I was in church, Jerald also talked about it. He asked us guys if we watched it and none of us did. He said it was out on Youtube, and he watched it. Like Pam, he went on and on about how great the show was. At this point in time, I was pretty much curious about this whole thing, and how these 2 very musically-inclined youths could talk about it so much.

As I got home on Sunday, I checked out Jeslin's blog, and guess what? Yep, she too was talking about High School Musical. Curiousity got the better of me. I went straight to the Youtube website, and started searching for the above mentioned. I got many results and as I clicked on one, I watched in anticipation.

Because Youtube only allows 10 minutes for an entry, there were 10 parts to this. It was only then I realised High School Musical was a movie, because it would take 1 1/2 hours to watch the whole thing.

So, the first part had just finished loading. I clicked on the 'play' button, and the movie started. This is a production from Disney, and it would not be released in theatres. Sad but true. And I was on the edge of my seat just 2:40 minutes into the movie. There was a duet with the 2 leads, Troy and Gabriella. Spectacular. I was chatting on MSN with EQ, and told him he had to watch this. I gave a message to Jerald and told him how impressed I was. He told me that there would be more to come, and how these 2 would be doing another 2 duets later in the movie.

The only complain I had was the horrible quality that I was watching it in. The author, a2yah23, did a horrible job recording it. He told me to search for a certain 'catlover', and I got a much better quality from him/her! So me, being very enthusiastic and hyped, brought my sister in to see this. She was like: "Oh, High School Musical? A lot of my friends have been talking about it." She, like me and EQ, was very impressed with just part 1 of the 10 parts in this movie. As she left for her room to turn in, I continued the night on watching this movie which I honestly believe should win huge awards for music, choreography, and direction.

I am putting up all 10 parts here on my blog. It's too good not to be shared. As it would take a relatively long time to watch it all, I suggest grabbing something to munch on, or split it up so that you'll watch it in a few days. If you still read this in disbelief, just try out watch part 1. The duet at 2:40 minutes should be able to sweep you off your feet.
