Shiraishi @ The Ritz-Carlton

It's 1am in the morning and here I am blogging about the fabulous dinner I just had with my family. It was amazing I tell you! We all probably have a certain standard for Japanese cuisine right?

Well, let's just put it this way. After dining at Shiraishi, that standard shot through the roof.

gordon and mom

sarah, my precious sister

me!

I know all of you would love to see the photos of all the food we had throughout the dinner, and I'm definitely not going to disappoint all of you~

our appetizer~!

Ain't it just so pretty? I love the different shapes of all the small dishes used.

sashimi~!!

mixed vegetable in broth - boiled item

See the carrot over at the right side? That had to be the sweetest carrot I've had in years I tell you. Yummy~~

grilled cod

I just love it when fish is cooked till perfection! This delicious piece of heavenly goodness flaked at every touch of my cutlery. A joy at every mouthful!

yummy tempura~~!!!

There's flounder, sardine, and baby shrimp. These 3 different (and entirely new) tempuras were a delight when they went with radish in tempura sauce, or just salt.

delectable sushi~!!

By this time my sis was going to faint. Lolx. But that didn't stop her from finishing this whole course. Knowing her, she wouldn't have missed this for the world. Haha~

clam miso

This was really nice. The clams made the miso just stand out from any other miso soups I've ever tasted before.

brown tea in a real cute cup

Does anyone notice the man hanging on the cup? Wahahahaha~~ I think this cup is really cute. I would love to have one of these in my home. Super cool man~~

This was meant to cleanse our palate after a really strong meal. As the brown tea prepared us for the finale, we were anxious to see what they had in store for us.

the grand finale~~!!!

This was a gem after such a lovely meal. It ended the meal on a really sweet yet alluring finish. Making you think of the oceans and the breeze, this dessert ended everything on a beautiful note.

A lovely dinner, spent well with the company of family members. An evening not to be forgotten, and a night of learning. Food cooked till perfection, presented with such flair. I'm impressed with the dinner, and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking out for a fantastic meal in Japanese cuisine.
