Man, I miss these guys so much. They made my days at FHA so memorable. If we could just spend more time together, I'm sure we would be bossom friends. They're such a great bunch, and I love them loads.

The food samples were fantastic. My favourite were the sundried tomatoes - simple fabulous. I loved every moment of working life, there at FHA, and I'm sure I'ld do it a million more times if given the chance.

Don't act 'dao' please..

Speaking of acting 'dao', so many people tend to act like that in front of the camera. WHY?! You have such a great smile, why hide it? And I must talk more about Nicholas here. He's a fellow brother-in-christ, which is something really great to know. He plays the bass guitar and rocks his world for the Lord. Ain't that simple great to hear?

And he's such a great guy man. Most of the time really quiet, but I know deep down, he's one full of ideas and comments on the things that revolves in this world. Rock on Nicholas, I'll always be your friend.

I believe friends only die if you let them. I'm not going to give up the friendships I have, though sometimes circumstances may not allow for so much meeting time. But I believe if you really want to continue being a blessing to your friends, you got to work hard at it.

Alright, it's getting late, and I need to wake up at 7 am tomorrow morning. See you guys in church!

Food Hotel Asia 2006 - A Dream Come True

I know most of you don't even have the least understanding about what Food Hotel Asia (FHA for short), and wouldn't be interested. But it's a dream come true for me. Why? Simple. I belong to this industry, my passion is right here. So, being not only able to attend but also earn money while enjoying myself, was a double blessing for me. I get paid for coming for something that I love, and get to network with the people of the industry - what more can I ask for?

Today was a great day, I managed to more than double the sales I did for yesterday. Being a biennial event, FHA attracts not only local visitors but also visitors from overseas. Exhibitors are from all over the world, and it's great talking to everyone because we get a little understanding about where they're from and what they do. And because it is only open to businessmen of the trade, normal people who would like to come for this event and not of this industry would have to fork a hefty SGD80, how crazy is that?! And it's such a huge event that it's taken all 6 Halls in the Singapore Expo.

So why am I so glad? I don't have to pay SGD80, but instead get paid for working and having a ball of a time. Literally. It's been such a joy seeing my ex-collegues and juniors from SHATEC, and even many of the Training Officers from my school. The best people I've met are the couple who co-manage Buko Nero, which I blogged about a few months back. The husband and wife were there and I couldn't help but rush up to them for a firm handshake; these 2 are great people.

Isn't it great to be working for something that you love so much. Isaac keeps telling me to find my passion, it didn't have to be cooking or baking. But after these 2 days, and the next 2 that are to come, I realise I really do love what I do. I love seeing the smile on the faces of those I cherish, and a simple 'thank you' really makes me realise it's all worthwhile. I'll invite you guys for another dinner soon ok?

And I've also known new collegues who are a great bunch. We have our lunches together, and we get along real well. There's Sherry, Nicholas, Chee Ming, Sity, and my partner, Varsha. I've got all their contacts, so hopefully we'll still keep in contact even after the event.

I've got to go to bed now, it's getting late. And I wake up at 7 am in the morning. Tomorrow's going to be another challenging day, and I know I'm going to be all pumped up! You guys have a great day too ok?

The Hightail Felidae

Remember Gravija's? It's been good. Recently, Gravija challenged the Dark Lord to a duel. Each party was allowed to bring along a Guardian Spirit. Gravija brought along his, and then they both got on with the battle.

Nicknamed Hightail, Gravija's Guardian Spirit is of attribute Wind, and is also known as the fastest creature on land - the cheetah. And Hightail isn't just any other cheetah, he is from the prime breed - the king cheetahs.

I'll let you guys guess who Hightail is.

What a great night it was. Being saturday night, everything seemed to be better. Better response from the audience, better acting, and even the food at Newton's tasted better. Oh yes, and see the bouquet Janine is holding? It's not her's. It's mine. This is the first time in my life I got a flower. I was so touched I could barely say anything. All thanks to Chin and James who gave them to me after the show, I really love it alot. Think I will hang it up on my ceiling.

Tomorrow afternoon's the last show. A little sad I feel, but I know all good things come to an end. Notice the bold good - it means we did real well for the Kingdom of God. I love all you people who put so much effort, and thank you for giving me so much encouragement.

Let's do our best tomorrow. I'm sure all our friends will be touched with the message that they are special.

But it was great to have great food after a wonderful premier night of 'You Are Special'. I am so happy that we did such a wonderful job, the audience were so impressed.
