Money Can't Buy This

So, the gift was given. And 2 nights of little sleep finally paid off. Looking at this picture makes me realise it was all worth it. All 122 stars. What a beauty. *smiles*

So, here are a few things that happened over the weekend that I failed to blog about, and their pictures too.

Sat night was good. It was yet another movie together with the family. And it was X3 - The Last Stand. It was good. Think my favourite new mutant on screen was the 'wave girl'. Lolx, didn't get her name though.

Won't spoil the story for anyone of you. But remember to stay in your seats till the end of the movie, and I mean, yes, till all the credits roll (which is about 10 minutes?). What a long wait, but was worth it. Janine missed it and spent an entire afternoon on Sunday to ask Ben what it was all about. Lolx. I'm dead sure it won't stop at the proclaimed trilogy. There's going to be more. I know it, I know it.

So here's a few photos of me. I notice I'm getting really good at taking my own photos. Constant practise and hard work does pay off after all. Lolx.

the face of happiness

Mom and Gordon

Act Cute?

I notice something. I don't look cute when I 'act' cute, I look horrid. People who do it look cute, but not me. I guess the natural look is way better than acting cute for me. Because my natural smile is, *cough*, cute.

But still, I fall to temptation.

Bleah

This was taken after youth on sunday. Yes, the second day in a row that I didn't sleep much. Notice my eyes were barely able to open. And yes, Kenny Rogers serve huge portions.

my plate of yum

So that sums up my weekend. It was a long weekend, and though it was tough, I loved it knowing I accomplished what I set out to do. Lovely feeling.

And at work today, I saw a fellow colleague, Shi Hua, smiling as she was reading a letter. Curious, and mischievious, I decided to ask her about it.

Me: Whoa, someone's smiling when reading the letter aye?
Shi Hua: *grins*

- after 5 minutes -

Me: So, who is that someone who made you smile?
Shi Hua: Oh, a friend overseas.
Me: He or she?
Shi Hua: She la..
Me: Oh. Chuh.
Shi Hua: Of course it's a she. Which guy will write something so cute.

- end of conversation -

I smiled to myself. Because that's what I always do. You know, the folding of paper hearts, stars, straw ones too, and letters that are folded to form an envelope et cetera, et cetera. Shi Hua, such guys do exist you know, you just haven't seen what I've done for the people around me. *smiles*

And I did a good deed tonight, which makes me feel even happier than I already am. I helped a guy with directions to get to Hougang Ave 1. Upon asking me which bus goes to a certain block, I took out my very handy transitlink guide (go get one now), and helped him out. I reckon most people won't even bother helping him, and so doing something like that makes me really happy.

Ah, the luxury of being able to bask in happiness. I should be like this everyday. Maybe, scientists will one day find a cure for sadness, ie, a potion for happiness. It should be called 'Delight'. Or maybe, that's just something called Heaven. *smiles*

Ok, time to eat dinner. It's getting late. Have a good week ahead everyone. Remember to drink loads of water and get plenty of rest. I love you guys (and gals)!

God Bless!!

Money Can Buy A Bed But Not Sleep

Finally, after toiling it out for the last 2 nights, I can finally get sleep tonight. I sleep well knowing I accomplished what I accomplished to do.

I was practically like a zombie walking around the city area tonight. I could barely remember what happened. I was so dead tired, I'm glad we decided to come home after 9. I couldn't walk in a straight line, my eyes were closed.

I shall well enjoy my beauty sleep tonight. Let nothing come in my way. You people, don't try waking me up. I need the sleep. Lolx.

Alright will blog pictures tomorrow. I'm a happy boy.

God Bless.

Dunamis Angels

Here are a few photos I managed to capture last sunday in church. It just happened so many of us wanted to look good in white that day, and so there I was, putting my cam to good use.

Charlene, pretty as always

John, the one with that great smile

Jerald, weird amusing laughter

Pam, dressed to kill

Joash, street ball kiddo

my very quirky pastor

=.='''

The last photo, as some of you might already be laughing at, happens to be my very, very quirky Pastor Simon. It takes forever to make him take a good one. So I figured, I shouldn't try anymore. Rather, I'll take more pictures like this, and publish them to the church when we reach like thousands. Lolx. I'll be so rich then. (or maybe just be forced to leave.. lolx)

Tonight was great. Went to work and got my second pay. Now, now people, don't start with asking for treats. I'm not that rich. Lolx. And after we closed, I decided to go Balcony @ Heeren for some drinks. Mocktails, not cocktails, so don't worry. And it was good chatting with my colleagues and hanging out with them. Balcony has fabulous ambience man, and for the first time in my life, I went into a unisex toilet. I mean.. Going into the same washroom with the gals was very, very weird. Of course, they were all cubicles.

Tomorrow, work again, and then I'm so looking forward to catch the X3 on saturday with my family. Talk about family bonding, I really can't wait for saturday, going to be great, I just know it.

Alright, time to rest. Long day tomorrow.

God Bless!!

Secondary School Friends - 3 Years Later

From left: Ridzuan, Alson, Ching Hong, Jia Jun

*imitating typical class photos*

Lolx.

So, after a very long time. My secondary school classmate (Ching Hong) asked a few of us out for dinner. It's been 3 years, and it was cool knowing we could meet up and have a good chat again. And yes, it's been a long, long, long time since people called me Ridzuan. It was weird for me to get used to them calling me Ridzuan and for them to call me Peter (because they never knew I was ever called Peter).

But before I left my house, I made myself a Club Sandwich, thinking I would not be eating much during the dinner with them. And the sandwich was fantastic. Toasted honey oat bread with ham, cheese, and eggs. Yummy!

Club Sandwichâ„¢ - by Peter

So, I met them at Esplanade Library, and I was the latest. Sorry guys, didn't mean it. And at first glance I kind of didn't recognize them until they shouted, "Hey! Hey!", and I replied by saying the same.

And then they said my voice changed and it's deeper. Whoa, that made me so happy. It proves I have a sexier, more deeper voice now aye? *wink*

And we then decided on Glutton's Bay for dinner (just beside the Esplanade). And I told them I wouldn't be eating much because I already had my sandwich. However, I still did eat quite a bit, except for the Hokkien Mee. Which means I ate Satay, Oyster Omelette, Sambal Stingray, and Sugar Cane for my drink. So much for not eating much huh.. *gasp*

the table of food

Ching Hong, The Entertainer

Jia Jun, The Computer Geek

Alson, The Quiet One?

Yours Truly, The Bullied (Lolx)

And after dinner we decided to talk a walk down to Marina Square, with Ching Hong making 90% of all the conversations (which is good, because I always admire people who can talk). And I decided to take photos of the 4 of us just before we reached. I approached a group of gals to help me, and there was one who was very helpful.

(if you happen to be the gal reading this now, tag on my board. Phone number is given upon request)

4 of us, 3 years later

It's amazing how we could still meet up after such a long time. Everyone looks really different, but one thing stays the same. We were all from the same school, and it was real funny talking about the past (teachers, classmates, love life etc). Loads of fun to be around these friends of mine that I've missed out on for 3 years. And I was happy we met again. Thanks Ching Hong for organising this. Looking forward to the next one too.

So, today's been a really fruitful day. Not only did I do all that I mentioned, I also finally managed to put up a song for my blog. Talk about hard work, this 'simple' task took me nearly a week.

*grins*

The Da Vinci Code - Spoilers

Had a few instances of deja vu this evening. One of the many that I had was having mango pudding at Food Republic. Just had the same item 2 days ago with 'guest'. Was so close to telling ben about who 'guest' was. A good thing I was able to keep my tongue.

So, the few of us arranged to watch The Da Vinci Code this evening. I booked the tickets early in the morning before I headed for work. And because of that, we had great seats. And yes, the show was good.

Here are some photos we took just before we entered the cinema. I was contemplating whether to put these up, because I notice I haven't appeared in my blog with specs for a very long time. But then again, I look great even with them on. *smiles*

Phebe, Andy, Charlene, Ben, and Me

The Da Vinci Code was a good movie. I initially went for it thinking it might affect my faith even though it's a fictional story and was written as a novel. But it happened that the show further shows us the sovereignty of our Lord. The story had too many loopholes, and another thing came to my mind. If the Lord was not the One True God, He would never allow the Bible to be perfect. Get my drift?

So anyway, I made a few really dumb spoilers in the movie, and though I think it's crap, it made the rest laugh abit.

Spoiler No. 1

Teabing is Magneto in disguise. There was this scene in the movie where he comes out from the airplane and is surrounded by around a dozen police cars. And when the police shouted, "Freeze! Hands in the air!", I honestly thought he would say, "As you wish..", and then proceed to raise his hands making all the police cars get raised into the air.

Spoiler No. 2

Sophie is Jean Grey in disguise. There was a scene when she and Prof. Langdon were in the back of a truck. And due to claustrophobia, he was getting really sick. Sophie then sandwiches his forehead with her hands and massages it. This scene was also featured in X Men, when Jean read another mutant's thoughts.

Spoiler No. 3

Silas became 'evil' because he lost Wimbledon. I know this has no link, but he turned to the dark side when he lost Wimbledon (taken from the movie with the same name, main role by the man himself, Paul Bettany), and turned to the Opus Dei (is this how it's spelt?).

Spoiler No. 4

Dr Octopus never died. Spiderman thought Dr. Octopus was gone forever. He was wrong, very wrong. Dr. Octopus came back and became a Pope Bishop. Be careful spidey, you never know when he's coming back to get you.

Spoiler No. 5

Prof. Langdon is Wolverine? This point was initiated by Ben. He was wondering how Prof. Langdon in the last scene got a cut while shaving, but the very next moment, didn't even have a scar or trace of it.

-end of spoilers-

Ok, that was pretty dumb, but nonetheless, funny. I liked the company alot. Don't even start about the whole evening being good because of Phebe. Yes, it's nice to see her in a very long time, and yes I've missed her (I know you people wanted to hear that), but that's about it. Knowing that she's well and doing good, is more than enough for this friend of hers.

Oh yes, the secret that I was meant to keep is now broken. *sobs* It was meant to be kept forever. I was meant to be protected. I was raised to keep it from the people around me. Now, I have to start running for my life, because.. beacuse.. I am of the royal bloodline.

And after the movie Ben asked me something really weird that made me laugh. I totally didn't expect this coming from him.

"So, now that we know you're of the bloodline Peter, we don't really care. Just tell us who your 'guest' is. Remember that person might be the one to help you carry on the bloodline!"

=.='''

I laughed so hard I didn't know what to answer him. I think 'guest' is probably laughing when reading this too. It's probably the funniest thing I've heard all week. Lolx.

Alright, it's getting late. What a stupid post, I think I'm still too hyper but at least everything is real good. I'm not working tomorrow (wednesday), so if anyone wants to meet me, I go by first-come-first-serve basis. Lolx. Alright people, have a good one tomorrow!

God Bless!!!

YAS Dinner Part 2 - The Selfless

Please note that there will no photos of the author in this post. If you are affected by this very sad fact, please shut down this window at this instant. I know what it feels like not to be able to see Peter. .

If you have decided to continue on, you're more than welcome! Lolx. Ok, hyper mode is still on. So here is the 2nd part to the long awaited YAS Dinner. First up, pictures of families that came together for this wonderful event!

Vivian and Janine

Aunty Vivian came dressed up real nice. I couldn't resist taking a picture and I was glad it turned out good. She was the one who did our hair for the musical. Without her, I think my rather amusing hairstyle would never have been on camera.

I see a future model!

Sistas in da faith!

Duo of Coolness

Another nice photo taken. One in pink (ok ok.. purple as Janine says), and the other in blue. I like the outcome of the photo. Janine and Andy, don't even start by saying 'because I'm in it what..'

Cousinz

Aaron doing da twist

sleepy or acting cool?

Jerome, looking as dashing as ever

another new addition to his wardrobe

Yes, that's another new one. So, I was really right to say something new every 2 weeks aye Jerald? It looks cool, and has been a long time since we last saw him in specs.

THE Photographer

Whoa, I just noticed the Liverpool T. Since when was Uncle Gilbert into soccer ah? And yes, he was THE photographer of the musical. Without him, great/fabulous/mind-blowing shots of me would have never been possible. =)

The shoes that exude elegance. Well pedicured feet too. I'll leave you guys to guess who these wonderful feet belong to. And please, I am no pervert who likes taking a photo of people's feet. It was taken on request.

Liked the post? Then leave a comment on the tagboard!

Joyfully Tickled

It's so good to wake up to a good morning. Now, how do I define a good morning? I think it's waking up to beautiful dreams. Ah, the beauty of dreams.. And I also got my beautiful 10 hours of sleep. Been a very long time since I last had such a good rest.

I'm still probably the happiest person right now.

Thinking about last night, I believe I must have more dinners like that. It's so nice to have good company and great food. And yes, I believe people should be more exposed to fine dine.

So, work is in another 1 hour. And going to work happy means more happy customers! I think scientists should invent a syrup called 'Dreamz'. And when you take it before you go to bed, you'll be able to decide what you want to dream. And you'll just be happy even though the night before might have been bad. I'm a genius man!

On another note, there was a certain someone who was a journalist yesterday in church. She asked a series of questions, and interviewed those who are going for the DREAM Trip in June. The photo is 'film grained' to make it look like a newspaper article. Effects courtesy of Picasa, expert shooting credits goes to me. Lolx.

Pete's Place

Whoa, what a wonderful dinner I had. The food and service was excellent and I enjoyed myself so much. I went to Hyatt Hotel, and hidden in their basement was the very famous Pete's Place. Gastronomical Italian Cuisine.

The free flow of bread was fabulous, the range very wide. From pistachio nut, to breadsticks, and rolls, to baguettes. The spreads were great too! A selection of unsalted butter, sundried tomatoes, or herbed. A great starters I have to say.

Main course was the highlight. I had Pizza Frutti De Mare (seafood), and my guest Lasagne (beef). Both were fantastic, and we were stuffed after the whole meal because we ate too much bread. Lolx.

After dinner, I was a gentleman enough to send my guest back in a cab, and that ended a very wonderful evening.

I'm probably the happiest person in the world right now.

^-^

Adorable Pictures!!!

Let's begin with 'Justus Says'..

"Mummy, I'm going to be on Peter's blog ok?!"

"Ooh, make sure you make me look good!"

"Oie, take enough already anot?!"

And the above pics were all candid. Justus did not pose for them. But adding those captions really made me laugh quite a bit, because it was hilarious to wonder if he really thought all that. Lolx.

On another series of photos, we have Andy and Ben, posing beside famous characters from the world of cartoon. And yes, adorable would be appropriate.

Andy and Oscar

Ben and Bob

Whoa, enjoyed today so very much. The music meeting, and then walking around Plaza Singapura, while thinking of who we should ask to help us 'carry something'. Come on guys, it's something Jerald came up with, don't link it to so many people..

And Sheena, you looked great today. Hope you have a great time working in Sweet Recipe. Too bad you were not in the section I was dining in. We would have so much to talk about. *sigh* Guess fate didn't let us ya? Lolx?

Ok, on duty for Main Service in the morning. Better get a nice good rest. See you guys tomorrow!!

God Bless!!

YAS Dinner Part 1 - The Self Absorbed

So, it was the dinner that we were all waiting. And it was amazing. The dinner, the fellowship, the encouragement. It was a beautiful night, and I took alot of photos. Of course, Janine was helping me take pictures of myself. And after browsing through the selection I had, I must say, I have to blog about the pictures she took. Lolx.

So here we have it. Part 1 of the dinner.

me after leaving my house

as promised, an all-black attire

whoa, I love this photo alot!

kawaii cute (thanks Jeslin)

And there you have it. The self absorbed Peter having a photo craze of himself. You know, I really need someone like Janine to continously take good photos for me man. I've been taking so much for the youths and not myself. And of course, there's always Aaron who has contributed to the success of 1/3 of the filmstrip. Lolx.

Part 2 up next. It won't be too long don't worry. Just that it's a little too late, and I need to be up real early tomorrow. So, good night all! And sweet dreams!

Trying Out New Stuff

I'm on the road to further improve my blog, so there may be really weird stuff coming up. For example, I'm adding music on my blog. I cannot trust IWebMusic because it gives alot of problems, so I'm trying to find another host. Have been spending 3 hours but nothing seems to go right. *sigh*

I'm trying to upload 'On Fire' by Switchfoot. Someone who has more knowledge, please share it with me. I'm literally at a lost with hosting. *sighs again*

And I'm going to add some stuff to the layout and scrolling of the mouse. I'm going to make this blog really personalised and then disable the 'right click function'. So, you guys are still fortunate now ya? You still can go view page source and see what I do. Lolx.

Hope everything goes as planned. I want this blog to be really me, the Peter that everyone knows, and not a blog just to attract attention.

[continuation]

Oh yea, there's the long awaited YAS (You Are Special) dinner tonight. I think it's a great way to end things. I'm looking forward to it man. I will be dressed in all-blacks. Though I think it's nowhere going to be near formal, I'm going to dress up for the occasion anyway.

And this afternoon is a really good one. Being complimented by 2 beautiful gals is something really sweet. I mean, if it was appearance wise, it wouldn't mean so much. But to be complimented about my wisdom and maturity, is something that matters more to me than how I look. It proves to me I'm growing, and growing is essential. Of course, there'll always be the child-like me, the one who is naturally cute and brings smiles to the people around me. *sticks out tongue*

What's Up?

There's always something I look at every night when I come home and enter my room. It's lovely, and it serves to remind me to be a blessing to the people around me.

The bouquet that was given to me when we did 'You Are Special'. I promised to hang it on my ceiling and it's still there. Thanks Chin and James, I really love it alot. And it's not just any other bouquet. It's the first bouquet I've had in my entire life. And yes, I did feel special when I got it.

A gentle reminder to me as I lay to sleep every night. It's not just a bouquet. It's a bouquet that meant much more to me. It restored something within me. And I'm glad that I'm still the joyful Peter everyone knows.

Oh yes, went out to meet a friend just now. Guess who I saw on the way home on bus 72? It was Uncle Leonard. Man, it was like 11.15 pm? I opened the conversation asking him how come he had to work till so late. And that was a start to a wonderful conversation. I talked about my job and how I feel more privileged now than before about being able to work. I mean, to be able to support yourself and not depend so much on your parent. And he told me that a parent's greatest joy is to see the child grow and become the person they set him/her out to be. Having a close relationship with their children is what really matters to parents, not the gifts, nor the sweet-nothings.

And yes, I would like to apologise to my mom for not only not getting her a gift for Mother's Day, I didn't even wish her till the day after. Talk about filial piety, I failed big time that day. I know she didn't want anything. She said even a simple meal at the food court would be fabulous to her, because she would be able to spend time with me. Sorry Mom, I really love you loads.

So, back to being a blessing. I feel we sometimes get too caught up with life that we forget to be a blessing. So always keep reminding yourself of how important your words and encouragement mean to the people who love you. Really, your love means more than anything this world could ever offer.

Alright, time to hone my DotA skills now. Lolx. Ben's waiting for me. Haha. I'll blog again real soon.

God Bless!!
