My Island Home

Haha, anyone in the mood for National Day yet? I actually went to find this year's song only now, because of the sudden increase in it being played in every train station I go to. It's titled My Island Home, and it's the first National Day song that I thought was 'worshippy'. Lolx.

I Believe
You Will Always Be A Part Of Me

Oh yes, and doesn't the last part where the two helds held just like Nokia? You know.. when you start up your phone and those 2 hands touch. Lolx.

*Whines*

*sob* I've been tagged. Zzz. Ok, anyway I've got some time to spare so why not? Joram made me do this. Lolx. But it'll be good for you people who want to know more about me. Haha. Right. *roll eyes*

Instructions: Once you've been tagged, you have to write six weird facts/ quirks/ habits about yourself, saying who tagged you. In the end you have to choose 5 people and list their names... No tag backs.

6 weird truths about me:

1. I am very particular about my hair! (yes, that would mean no playing around with it, thank-you-very-much.)

2. I straighten my hair before going out. (yea yea, roll your eyes somemore. I only do it for my tail, it's very important for it to look good.)

3. I blast my music when I go to sleep. (yes, to a point my sis sometimes has to blast hers to listen to her music in her room. Or so I think.)

4. I have a world of my own. (Gravija's. I think most of you already know about it. And most of you are in it. Teeheehee.)

5. I exercise. (That is way weird ok!! I mean, I don't like hate exercise, but I have no choice but to do it. What to do? I have to impress people you know.. Lolx.)

6. My smile was trained. (Believe it or not. I actually stared at the mirror for a few weeks to learn a good smile. It really helps, go obsess yourself with your wonderful facial features.)

Firsts

Best friend: Charlene

Crush: The 7-year one. Yes, pink cheesecake..

Movie: How would I remember that?! It might have been ranging from something like HI5 to Mary Poppins. I'm referring to the standard and approach.

Lie: I think it was when I said something that was not the truth. Wait. Isn't that what a lie is? AGAIN. How would people actually remember their first lie? *roll eyes*

When was the last time you:

Had a cigarette: Never. And I don't plan to ever start.

Had a drink: Iced water before I came back to my com and checked out different youths' blogs, and found out that Joram tagged me. Lolx.

Got a ride: Thurs. Ben drove me home after a wonderful supper dinner at Newton Circus. We stayed out till 2am? Tsk. Thanks Ben!

Watched a movie: Superman. It was too long-winded for me, but the animation was fantastic. I did blog about it, remember?

Used the phone: 10 seconds ago. Lolx. Don't bother trying to find out who it was.

Bought a CD: I didn't buy it, but was rather a beautiful gift from Uncle Sze Cheng and Aunty Em. Juwita Suwito's Brand New World. Magnificent vocals and it's autographed too!!

Have you ever:

Dated one of your best friends: Does Gina count? Lolx.

Been arrested: Yea, in Monopoly. *roll eyes*

Skinny-dipped: Should I pretend I don't know what it is? Lolx. "what is skinny-dip ah? I know skinny latte, but skinny-dip I don't know leh.." Anyway, it's a no.

Been on TV: Yea, many instances. I was a regular for Kids @ Work. Of course, that was when I was a child, not now.

Missed someone you don't know: How do you miss someone you don't know? As in like - someone who walks pass you, smelt wonderful, had a great smile, and made you go ga-ga? Other than that, most probably no. Lolx.

4 things you did today:

(a) work. 8 hours from 11 am to 7 pm, without a break because it was awfully busy.

(b) dinner. My first meal of the day at 9pm. Tsk. Pepper lunch was a first and I still had Long John's after that. Starved to stuffed.

(c) DotA. It's quite a routine every night. Lolx. As usual, we beat the opponent team, with a high score and loads of strategy. Want to try this wonderful game out? *evil grin*

(d) blog. Yes, doing this post is getting me so sleepy. It's quite fun though. Letting people know more about me would definitely help me know more friends, or maybe even more than that. Lolx.

4 sounds you hear at this very moment:

(a) tower fan

(b) tower fan

(c) tower fan

(d) did I mention tower fan? Yea, tower fan.

People to do this:

Teeheehee.. My turn to tag people to do this post.

1. Jerald (I doubt he will. He's too lazy to do such stuff)

2. Joash (a reason for you to update bro)

3. Jeslin (more updates please!)

4. Janine (on request of Joram and me!)

5. Charlene (go ask her for her blog address. It's beautiful.)

Oh yes, and before I go. Here's a little something from me to you. Hope you like it. Lolx. Remember, a smile makes other smiles form. So, why not be the first in the chain? *smiles*

I'm Over The Moon!!!

Here are some other words to describe how I feel.

Overjoyed

Elated

Gladdened

Fulfilled

Ecstatic

Delirious

Floating

Exhilarated
Gleeful

In Heaven.

Man, I am so happy. This is the biggest achievement I've had for working in an F&B establishment. Very few words could describe what my heart feels, the bliss, and the wide smile on my face.

Yes. Service Ambassador. The only award that is presented for an individual. The winner takes home an individual gift, and of course, the title of 'TCC Service Ambassador'.

This award is only won once every quarter. And only 2 or 3 people win it. How does it go about? Every quarter, an outlet would have to nominate 2 of their staff for this award. Out of all 17 outlets (34 nominees), only 2 or 3 people will win it.

When I entered TCC, my goal was to learn about the service side, to serve, and see the smiles on guests' faces that I would never see when I work in the kitchen. I strive to give good service, and to make my guests feel good. I had a dream, to me it was huge. I wanted to be nominated for Service Ambassador. I never told anyone except Isaac. To me, being nominated would mean you're recognised for your service. And that was all I wanted.

BUT!!!

Now, it's more than a dream come true. It's more than what I wanted. I actually won it. Alongside ShiHua, and Erin from RX (Raffles Exchange), 3 of us are proud to be the winners of Service Ambassadors for this quarter.

the badge worn by only a few

That badge is something everyone longs to have. Everybody who has that badge has an additional burden though. It is a badge that signifies TCC's service and quality. *stress* But nonetheless, to even wear it, would mean people expect more from you. They expect good service, a great smile, and the ability to make them feel good. *double stress*

Oh yes. And remember the individual gift? I couldn't believe my eyes when I got it. I was speechless as I took the award. It was alot of confusion and blushing.

You see. I was conned to come down to the headquarters for some 'community work'. My manager from Isetan told us we had to be in uniform to do 'community work'. *roll eyes* Upon arrival, the managers from every outlet were having their weekly meetings. And I was wondering what was I about to do. Upon a round of really warm applause, there was an announcement.

"Erin from RX, congratulations!!"

"Peter from CBJ!!"

"ShiHua from IS!!"

*cold sweat*

And as I went up to take my award, I kept on asking: "Er, what kind of community work is this?" This comment got everyone laughing. All the managers already knew who was winning it, they just pretended they didn't know. Roy (Isetan's Manager), actually fabricated the story to surprise us. Grr.

But you know. To win this alongside ShiHua, is such a beautiful feeling. *smiles* Lolx. She is well-deserving of this award because I have seen the way she serves, and I have been very impressed.

Man. I digressed.

the prize!!!

It's a 1GB mp3 player!! Oh my, I've longed for one for such a long time. And finally, I have an mp3 player of my own!! Yes yes yes!!

Thank you Lord for this to come upon my life. I want to thank you for making it possible, for making me feel special again. I love you Lord. Thank you for believing that if I set my mind on something, that I can attain it.

Alot of credit goes to the people who nominated us of course. That would be my Manager from Isetan Scotts, Mr. Roy Lim, and my Management Trainee, Lini. Both of them wrote alot about us (our great service), and what we've been doing to deserve this award. Without them, there wouldn't be me and ShiHua as Service Ambassadors today. *delightful smile*

What a surprising day. Oh I almost forgot. As I went back to work after receiving this award, guess who was there reading a book.

PASTOR SIMON ANG

*roll eyes* Can you actually believe he came down to look for me. And just after I got my award and badge. I was so happy I was shaking as I was talking to him. Lolx. Pastor, you like the place right? It's nice right? And the guy who talked to you very amiable right?

Lolx.

Alright, I need to turn in. It's getting late and I guess I need to get ample rest. I'm so happy, so so happy. I wish I would have more awards to come. And maybe one day, I might really get the 2-star Michelin that Aunty Anna says I would get. *dreams*

Dreams are good. Goals are fabulous. Getting them at the end makes it all worthwhile. All the hard work, and all the perseverance, everything pays off at last. Good night everybody, dream big, because we have a big God.

So Cute!!

I chanced upon Jeslin's post and I saw this. Like oh.my.goodness. Where did she get all those kids' photos?!?! And the one of me?!?! Uncle Gilbert, how can you release that?!?! Lolx.

Oh man.. So so cute right?!?! Whoa, Jeslin, this is your best post ever!! I couldn't help but to blog about it. All of you must go her blog and see this post ok?!?!

Eh, one thing though. Why put the picture of me and Jerald acting cute ah? Lolx. Can put a million other photos you know.. Lolx.

CapitaLand Bugis Junction - A Palace

In case you people don't already know, it's not Parco Bugis Junction anymore. It is now taken over by CapitaLand, therefore the above-mentioned title.

Ok since EQ found me today, I think I shouldn't hide it anymore. TCC @ CBJ re-opened yesterday after major renovations and expansion. The new look? Amazing, and simply jaw-dropping. I got transferred here from my outlet at Isetan, leaving all my lovely colleagues behind. But not to worry, we will still be hanging out alot. Lolx.

Fitting the victorian theme, TCC @ CBJ fits nicely with the district around it, and impresses all those who care to take a glimpse.

from the outside

the al-fresco area

And now for the real deal. You may think it doesn't seem much from the outside. You haven't seen the inside. I call it a palace. Simply beautiful and astonishing.

behold the beauty

a wonderful side-station

And what we boast about is having the longest bar out of all the TCC outlets so far. Almost everything comes in twos. 2 cake fridges, 2 ice bins, 2 washing areas, 2 cash registers.

part 1

part 2

the combined effect. wow!

Look at how long the bar is! Amazing man. You can be at one end and take almost 10 seconds to reach the other end. And of course, such beauty demands great profit too. Just as I was leaving after knocking off work, it was full-house! It was so packed, people had no choice but to take the al-fresco area.

TCC has spent alot on this outlet, and it has been revamped to such a beautiful place. If you guys have time, I strongly suggest coming down to have a look. Be awed, not by my service, but by the decorations a restaurant can accomodate. Fabulous!

Now, although this was my first day here, I've had like 4 friends who spotted me. It was alot of rolling eyes and cold sweat today. Nazir, from my previous outlet, came down. And so did Jane. Jane was on the way to school when she decided to pass by and spotted me. EQ actually found me. I initially didn't want to tell anyone about where was my new workplace, but he actually found me. "I just felt you might be working there." was his excuse. I think it's more than that. Hmm.. telepathy? And Kelvin, from COS (Church of Singapore), also came down. I found him familiar, but he remembered me first. He even remembered you Isaac (yes, the restaurant, yes SHATEC). Lolx.

So, it's been a great but tiring day. I'm going to have an early rest, because tomorrow I have work at 8am. Lolx. Alright, you people continue swooning at the beauty of CBJ! Lolx.

Good night people!

Justus - So Cute

So, I was browsing through my photos from last sunday, and I took great shots of Justus. Apparently, this boy seems to respond almost immediately whenever I say: "Justus, take photo!"

He is one blessed child. With wonderful parents and a great life ahead with the Lord, I'm sure this boy will grow up to be an example to others around him.

Oh oh! And see Aaron behind? It's him with a new shirt from Levi's! It's super nice on him, I was kind of addicted looking at it for a while. Lolx.

EQ is sitting beside me as I blog about this. Lolx. We're both waiting for Ben and Andy to arrive so we can run and do badminton! Yes!! More people to exercise with me. I'm so happy. Haha. Oh yes, any of you interested to join us just call me ok?!?! Lolx.

I'm logging off now. I think I might blog again tonight. Depends on my availability and mood. Lolx. Oh yes, before I go. Here's something to think about for everyone. Under no circumstance, must Charlene answer this (because she already knows the answer).

Have fun!

Tired But Happy

I've been so tired these few days due to work and all. But one thing I'm really happy about is doing something I thought I would never do. I'm proud of it too. I initially wanted to keep it within myself, but since everything was just so opportune, I decided 'why not'?

It's hard to let go of people you treasure, especially when you've got to know them so well. But nonetheless, it's a new beginning. I'm sure everything will be alright.

I miss everyone already. Especially you.

Kekekeke.

Brazil - Gastronomical!

What a great day! Firstly, I got to sleep in without worrying what time to wake up. Secondly, I went for a wonderful class in church. And thirdly, I got a treat to a fabulous dinner! I'm so happy tonight I could dream of you.

~ What was that? ~

Ok, so let's start with waking up at 2pm. It's something I haven't done in a long long time. I mean, when was the last time I got to sleep in till so late? Almost a month ago. Work has been so busy, and I've been going out so late that I almost forgot that 8 hours of sleep was needed. And I got it last night! Not 4, not 8, but 10 hours of sleep! *smiles*

And then there was foundation class in church. It was something I never felt for in my 10 years of church life. Finally, I sat down in a class, and talked about God. To me, I used to be jealous of everyone having foundation class except me. And finally, at this tender age of 19, I finally got it! It was so nice I tell you. To talk about God, about His love, about worship, and so much more. To me, discovering God together with some others is so beautiful. I will forever treasure this foundation class I'm getting.

I met EQ at the MRT station after class, and we were headed for Brazil for dinner. Being the intelligent me, I actually found the fastest way to get to this ulu place by going to Orchard first, then taking a bus down to the destination. *pats self* It was so tough to find this place I tell you, it seems not a part of Singapore.

So, the story is this. 2 angels were sent down from Heaven. They came Singapore because they didn't have the Irish accents (unlike that from 'Touched by an Angel'). They were asked by God to treat a certain duo, named EQ and Peter. Finding these 2 was such a chore, but the angels were thankful they found them in Moriah - Dunamis Rock. So, these 2 angels invited these 2 adorable kids to dinner at Brazil, and these 2, being so cute, agreed to the request with a smile on their faces. Aww, how sweet right?

*roll eyes*

the destination

So, the dinner started and I explained to EQ that it was an eat-all-you-can. I had to tell him to take less from the salad bar, and more from the meats. I'm glad he took everything. The 2 angels were watching their diets. *roll eyes*

cheese balls bread

my plate was stuffed

EQ was also amazed at how much food was piled on his plate. Lolx. He was quite surprised that the restaurant served so many different kinds of meat. Lovely.

EQ wore a nice T

Nice right?! I like his T alot. And the 2 angels were so glad we were enjoying our dinner so much. Oh yes, me being me, took about 15 minutes before I actually got down to eating. Taking countless photos of myself resulted in alot of eye-rolling-action from the 2 angels. Lolx.

I heart it

We were so stuffed after the meal, we didn't even consider desserts. However, the night wasn't over as yet. We went over to the coffeehouse beside us and had some tea. One word - crapping. We did endless crapping, and with me around, there was never a dull moment. Right EQ?

his posé

That was candid. I didn't expect something of that extent to appear. But it was good, proves to us EQ can be a part-time model. Lolx. Good stuff aye?

don't shy don't shy

Af if. You believe EQ is shy? You're wrong. Tsk. He is very amiable, with a soft and gentle spirit. One of the angels told me to learn this aspect from him. *roll eyes*

We got home in a cab, and the angels left. Their duty was over and I'm sure we were so nice to them, that they would definitely treat us again. Right right?! And please, I do not want to stay behind after the rapture. Tsk.

I better turn in. Main service tomorrow, followed by youth. I'm hoping that it'll be good, and I can't wait to have a good time tomorrow. See you people in church tomorrow.

God Bless!!

Time Is Against Me

My goodness. This 2 days have been so packed, I've had no time to do up my pictures. I couldn't even blog although I really wanted to. For the first time in my life, I felt 24 hours was not enough to be called 1 day. Lolx.

Ok, let's start with wednesday evening. I was planned to meet EQ for jogging right? The courts at Hougang Stadium were all booked, and I wouldn't pay $7.20 for an hour. However, when EQ came, he actually suggested badminton. *roll eyes*

I remembered about my open-air court below my block, and asked whether we would try there. He said: "Why not? Badminton is your sport right Peter?" I laughed it off because I know I much rather badminton than jog. Tsk. Jogging is so boring. John Kao would have joined us if it wasn't so far for him. Oh yes, EQ wants more of the youths to join us every wednesday. Lolx. Sign ups available. *roll eyes*

And so, we played badminton below my block. We had to chase a group of 5 boys playing soccer when there was a CLEAR SIGN saying 'No Soccer'. Tsk. And so we played badminton for about an hour, and EQ got tired before me! Wahahahaha! The amazing thing about being crazy about something, is that you seem to have more energy doing it. This, my friend, is called p-a-s-s-i-o-n. *roll eyes* Sounds so familiar aye, Isaac?

So, I agreed to cook dinner for EQ after badminton. We went over to the grocery store across the street and bought some stuff for dinner. I got home and still no one was home. Lolx. Thank goodness I had EQ to have dinner with me. And he was repeatedly thanking me for dinner. Please EQ, it takes you quite alot of effort to meet me. So, the least I can do is make a nice dinner for you.

And as I was cooking dinner, guess what EQ was doing. Lolx. Such a studious boy, I'm so happy he knows how to prioritize work and play. Good job EQ.

quiet and doing his homework

And so! Dinner was ready in 15! I made a cream sauce pasta with salmon, white fish, and seaweed flakes. It tasted really good, and EQ enjoyed it too.

the dinner

the chef

Argh! That's a terribly horrible picture of me. Tsk. I look so red from the after-exercise. EQ could even spot it after badminton. I told him many people say I look like a cooked lobster after alot of exercise. Lolx.

We did quite a bit of chatting and it was all good. Can't wait for saturday though. Right EQ? Haha. Good food awaits! After dinner, we cleared up and I sent him to the bus stop to catch his bus home. I felt so good after exercise. Thank you EQ for coming to have exercise with me, it was really nice of you.

Ok, now we're on to last night. After work, I had 3 hours to spare before the rest of my colleagues ended. We planned to go out after closing shift for supper and shisha. So, because I had a horribly long time to spare, and so did YiHui, we decided to have dinner at Peranakan Place. Lolx.

she's got beautiful hair

Gragh. Why do photogenic people not want to take photos?! Grr. It's not like I'm a bad photographer what!! But her candid shots are good too. Lolx. And all along when we were there, everyone there knew we were from Isetan's outlet, and were being teased. *roll eyes*

They must have been wondering what a guy and a gal from another outlet coming to have dinner at their outlet, and sharing everything they ordered. Lolx.

From left! We had Crispy Dory with Orange Mayo, Chicken and Mushroom Sandwich, and Bisque of Forest Mushrooms. Not bad aye?! We only spent $12 per person for so much food. Lolx. Cool stuff. And we were telling the staff there not to tell anyone we were there together. Lolx. We sounded so scandalous. *roll eyes*

food glorious food

And even after so much teasing from the staff there, and endless upselling of other items in the menu gallery *roll eyes*, I could still find time to take self portraits at a totally new angle! Woosh! I changed my parting of my hair to the right now, and I like it! So my face has to be changed, when taking photos, to the right too. It was fun trying to get stupid pictures of myself. YiHui was endlessly rolling her eyes. Lolx.

laugh out loud

That photo was weird. I don't even know what I was thinking when I did it. But it was not bad considering I closed my eyes and did a self portrait. *pats self* Lolx.

And of course, I got a good photo of myself. It's probably the best one since the haircut/dye/highlight. And so, I'm putting it on my MSN display pic! Haha, I love it alot!

yay!

Pro pro. This guy takes great self portraits. As EQ say: "Peter, I think your self portraits look better than what people take for you." Lolx. EQ is so funny, always making me smile.

There's much more to blog about last night but I need to get going for the movie in church! High School Musical here I come! I think I will blog more about last night later. I got home from work, and have yet to bathe. Having 4 hours of sleep for the last two nights is really taking it's toll on me. At least tonight I can sleep without worrying about what time I need to wake up tomorrow. Alright, I'm going off now.

See ya peeps in church.

Ichiban Sushi

*bangs door*

Sarah: kor kor, want go out or not?
Me: Huh? I thought you don't want to ice skate?
Sarah: Ya, but I want to go out.
Me: Ok ok..
Sarah: I go bathe first. Wake up ah!
Me: *mumbles* orh..

That was the start of my day. Lolx. Yea, we decided not to ice skate for this week, because she didn't have the 'feeling', and I was alright with not skating for a week. I initially thought I would just stay home to finish up editing the photos for my blog but she wanted to go out.

It was really tough deciding where to go because I had to be home by 6pm to meet EQ for jogging. So, I knew we wouldn't be spending much time out. But after careful consideration, I remembered a good place that I could have a meal for $5++.

Ichiban Sushi!

So, my sister and I headed for Plaza Singapura for a somewhat late lunch. And I told her we could still get more other than just the meal itself. I first came here with Ben a few months back, and the food is good.

my sister

and me!

Yea, that's my new hair. I'm lovin' it. I like the cut because it's a lot like the one I wanted - razor cut. It's 'e-line', and the technique was real cool. *smiles* The highlight was good too. Even though it was still a bit too bright for my liking, but at least the contrast was not as much as the last time I had it. I love my base colour too! It's purple-brown, and it's quite unique.

Oh I digressed as usual. Well, where were we? Ichiban Sushi! Here is the crabmeat (top), and salmon (bottom) udon that me and my sister had. Delicious!

yummy *drools*

The set also comes with free flow of their house's green tea, and another handroll too! Can you believe all that for only around $5.60? But it lasts only from 3 to 5.30pm on weekdays. Me and Ben agreed this marketing move was targetted at the 'tea crowd'.

our handrolls!

We walked around a bit after our meal, and it was already 4.30pm. We walked around Barang Barang a bit, and my have they renovated! The place is practically a maze now. Lolx. But the new import of sofas are really lovely. Passed by the soft toys section and was reminded of how jealous Ken is of Rachel's shrabbit. Lolx.

So here I am now. It's 5.40pm. EQ will be meeting me in about an hour's time. I better get changed, and I can't believe I'm going to jog. *roll eyes* But it's all good, all for the sake of a brighter future. Lolx.

I'm going to catch my Shaman King on YouTube now. I'll see if I can blog tonight too. If I'm not, I'll most probably do it tomorrow.

Take care everyone!

Claire Is So Sweet

That gal is so sweet I tell you. She gave me such beautiful compliments. Well, you see, she and Isaac gave me a visit at my workplace. What was really weird was that all 3 of us had our hair done from the last time we met - that was so long ago man. Gosh. Almost 2 months? Tsk.

So, they saw me with my new haircut and highlights. It was quite a shock to Isaac but Claire took it well. And please la, your hair is nice. If you don't believe me ask Santa. Oh, and Isaac trimmed his hair too. So all 3 of us look different from the last time we saw each other.

Oh! And and! Guess who came to my outlet today! Dawn Yeoh!! Whoa.. She is so pretty I tell you. No, not the blogger, but the actress. A pity she wore shades and didn't show us her pretty eyes, they would probably have knocked me off my feet. Lolx.

Hmm. What else happened? Oh yes, I got my pay, and I'm going jogging with EQ later in the evening. I'm going to exercise till I feel good, till I'm healthy! Wahahahaha! Remember, if Peter can do it, so can you. *roll eyes*

Been feeling rather jovial these past few days. People can say the sweetest things I tell you. And it's even more precious when it comes from people who are really special to you.

Alright, it's getting late. I better get some sleep. It's going to be a relatively long day, and I can't wait to meet EQ! Perked up.

Nights to all!

'Why The World Needs Superman'

Hmm. I don't know why too. Never once looked out of my window and saw a person with a red cape flying past. Have you?

Caught this movie with my mom, Gordon, and my sis. I have to say, it was a really long movie (2.5 hours), and draggy at many parts. The starting of the movie was probably too long for our liking, and the ending took forever.

And here are the reasons why I think people should catch it. The animation is fantastic, and the drawings are all very well done. The way Superman flew was very 'well-trained', because he looked like he could really fly. I felt otherwise for Kate Bosworth (playing Lois). When Superman flew with her, you could obviously see she was supported.

My favourite character in the movie was Superman/Lois' son. I can't get a picture of him, and his name too. Darn. He is so adorable. I really wished they would have shown more of his powers, just like his dad.

The love scenes were not too good too. It was 'I-want-to-but-I-won't' kind of feeling. The kissing scene was bad. Tsk. So close yet so far. I mean, we all want to see some love in this world, don't we? Lolx.

Anyway, I won't put the pictures I took of last night now. I think I would most probably do it tomorrow. I am too tired to edit and enhance the photos tonight.

I better catch some sleep. To you people who are catching the 3rd and 4th placings match, please be reminded that there is church tomorrow morning, and I expect to see you people there. Lolx. Just do me favour, don't miss tomorrow's service alright?

Good night.

Tired Much

It's 11.33am and I just woke up. Got home really late last night after the great dinner @ Pete's Place with my family, and Newton Circus with my colleagues. Pete's Place was, as usual, fantastic. Newton Circus was actually opened. No, not the makeshift one. But the real Newton Circus has opened and it's great! It looks fabulous, and very clean. Lolx.

Will be posting the pictures tonight, after some serious editing and touch-ups. Lolx. Had a wonderful time last night, hope for more to come. Great food, great people, maketh a great gathering.

Just one other thought. Is it true when you like someone, you don't like others to make fun of that person? And when you sense that person in danger, want to go all out to help? Liking someone is so weird. You care so much, but you don't know how to express it sometimes. Tsk. Nevermind, I think everything should be alright.

Ok, will be blogging again later tonight.

Formal Me

So, it's another off day. Well, actually I asked for wednesdays because I want to ice skate this day every week. I was supposed to ice skate in the afternoon and meet EQ for badminton in the evening as planned. But I postponed it because Isaac wanted to meet for dinner. EQ was fine with it, and so we will hold badminton next wednesday!

Ice skating was yet another high for me today. Not only was I able to ice skate without focusing on balancing, I was pairing with my sister to synchronise our skating. It was so difficult but extremely challenging. We were going right foot on 1 and 3s, and left on 2 and 4s. And at the end of it, we actually managed to skate in-sync for one whole song! Wow.

We had lunch at Long John's, and this is a photo of me before I went home to get changed and meet Isaac at around 7.30pm.

I got home around 5.30pm and had about an hour to prepare before heading out again to meet Isaac. And because it would be a formal meeting, we were both to wear suits. It was so long since I last wore my suit and man did I love wearing it again.

The arrangement was 7.30pm at Raffles Exchange TCC. I was late by 15 minutes and nearly got the shock of my life when the train literally jumped on the way to Dhoby Ghaut. Man, that was way scary.

Isaac

and me!

We got down to ordering our food. We both decided on the same, Smoked Salmon Linguine Thermidor. Very good, though a bit fishy. And I couldn't help but get photos of the both of us. Lolx. I love formal wear!

Dinner was great and so was the meeting. Sorted some things out that we would put in place, culture and service quality. This would probably be one of the few meeting Isaac could actually get me to be serious and not kidding around. Lolx. It was good, and hard work does pay off.

After dinner, we decided to take the bus home. Buses are so much more comfortable than trains. Better seats equals better comfort. But just before that, we passed by Fullerton Hotel, and I needed to snap snap snap!

nice right?!

And Isaac looked great. And then there was me. Being the very demanding model that I am, I needed some good shots. Isaac did a great job. The next few photos are pictures you'll rarely see me in, goofing around and having fun.

serious sia...

holy innocent's? (sure or not?!)

pout? =.=

It was fun. Real fun. You know, I need good photos of myself too, and I always have my hands full trying to get the best photos of you people. Lolx. But Isaac did a great job. Oh yes, my favourite photo of the night. It was very well taken and my suit was flapping with the wind.

wow!

I dig this photo! It's so nice la! I don't know what pose I was trying to do, but I know it turned out very well, way better than what I expected. Lolx.

Tomorrow is another day at work. I know I'm going to enjoy myself, and I know that it's going to be a good day! Hope you people have been having a good week too!

God Bless!!

K Box With Colleagues

It's 3.35am in the morning and I just came home. Lolx. Had a ball of a time with my colleagues at K Box tonight. Being in a room with girls who have no restrictions singing is a huge eye-opener to me. What was really amazing is seeing a side of them that other colleagues will never see. And the 'very-quiet' Huiling was actually going crazy and rapping. Wow. She can rap man. Cool stuff.

some were shy at first

but slowly warmed up

and the only boy in the room

So, at first they sang first and I just kept quiet and watch. Denying that I could sing, they thought me singing would cause serious injuries. Lolx. But as they got hyped up, I saw a side of them I think I'll never see again. Lolx.

behold

They were actually singing and jumping on the sofas. Lolx. Even the manager walked past and grooved to our song. It was so fun!

Shi Hua loved every moment

Quite a pity she had to leave earlier than us. We stayed on, and around 12.30 Lini (the one in the pink jacket, also my management trainee), went off too. So it was left to Huiling, Yihui, and I. We carried on singing the night away, and I was going crazy just listening to them sing. And there was none stop eye-rolling from them as I made stupid remarks. Lolx.

But in all, a really enjoyable night out. Loved every moment of it. Would have loved to stay on, but had to go home because the girls were tired. I also remembered I had to get some rest because I'm going ice skating with my sis again! And later in the evening to meet Isaac for a meeting. So, it's a pretty packed day if you would ask me, but I'm not complaining.

Alright, rest time. Hope I have what it takes to carry myself through the day.
