Smile To This

I swear I've heard this somewhere before.. Anyway, any of you want to clarify this? I think it's so funny la.. It made me smile at 6am in the morning.

Heh.

Q: How many RJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: 4 whole faculties. One faculty to design the new bulb, one faculty to test it out, one faculty to market it and one guy to write a stupid E-mail about lightbulbs.

Q: How many HCJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: The whole school. To compete with RJC.

Q: How many VJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: The whole school. One student to screw it in and the rest to cheer and wave flags and banners to give him/her support.

Q: How many NJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. They can study without light.

Q: How many AJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: They're too busy trying to be one of the top 5 JCs.

Q: How many ACJC students does it take to change lightbulb??
A: None. They'd use all their money to employ YJC to do it for them.

Q: How many YJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. Only one teacher to tell them what a lightbulb is in the first place and to demonstrate(how do you think they're able to change it for ACJC?)

Q: How many CJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: They like being in the dark;)

Q: How many JJC students does it take to changea lightbulb?

A: They wouldn't bother.

Q: How many SAJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. They believe in praying for it.

Q: How many NYJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. They are still using oil lamps.

Q: How many SRJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Huh, wat litebarbu...

Q: How many TJC students does it take to change the lightbulb?
A: None. They think they are very bright already.

Q: How many PJC students does it take to change the lightbulb?
A: F*** the lightbulb lah, the principal will do something about rightbarbs. Let's do 300 jumping jacks for not wearing the proper school attire.

Laugh. Out. Loud.

Randoms

A few randoms in this entry.

Firstly, I watched the last episode of Charmed on Channel 5! I don't know if it's the ending of the whole series, but it sure seemed like it.

I know you people with cable tv probably finished this episode a long time ago, but poor me just watched it tonight.

I have to say! It was a really nice ending! They went back into the past, and into the future, to save the present! Cool stuff. I liked the part Piper in the future already knew Piper from the present was coming over. Lolx.

Why was it different from other endings from other seasons? Everyone came back together, except the oldest sister and Cole (which was sad).

Anyway, a good ending to such a show puts me in a happy mood! Though I have to say I'm a little sad it's all over. Heh.

Second random!

I had the weirdest dream last night, I swear.

I dreamt I was out with Ben (my sec school classmate, his photo is in a previous entry), and we were out with other friends. We went for dinner at some Japanese-looking restaurant. Suddenly, I was so tired and fell asleep.

When I woke up, Ben said, "Just great.. You had to fall asleep on us.."

I remember myself to be extremely apologetic but was too tired. So, I fell asleep AGAIN.

Lolx. So, I woke up again and found everyone now asleep in the restaurant. *roll eyes x100* Yea, I was practically rolling my eyes in my dream. Lolx. However! Ben wasn't around! He somehow wasn't in the restaurant.

So, I exited the restaurant. And guess where I was?!

In my living room! *roll eyes x1000*

And Ben was there playing on my computer. So, I decided to go into the toilet to freshen myself up, when suddenly! The toilet bowl started choking! For what and why I have no idea.. I didn't even use it.. *pouts*

I was in that mess, and guess what Ben was doing? He was happily playing on my computer, ignorant to my cries for help. Lolx. And only after 10 minutes, I got myself to solve that crisis.

And then!

I really woke up. What a horrid dream. Imagine if that was really to happen.. Goodness..

Third random!

EQ persuaded Pastor Heidi to watch Happy Feet! *applause* Don't worry Pastor Heidi, I'm sure you'll love it. So, Pastor Heidi decided to check out my blog, and went to EQ's link to see his blog.

And! EQ hasn't updated! So, Pastor Heidi pretended to be me!

Pastor Heidi: EQ WHAT IS THIS

LOLX. I could imagine myself saying that. Wow, Pastor Heidi can imitate me man!

EQ retorted with a simple, "What about you Pastor Heidi?" Amazingly, Pastor Heidi has finally updated her blog!

For EQ's Blog, click here.
For Pastor Heidi's Blog, click here.

Reading what Pastor Heidi wrote, I really start wondering why we don't celebrate Thanksgiving! We should!! Lolx. Oh, that gobble song was weird.. Imagine the youth group doing it. Lolx.

It's Friday, and tomorrow's Saturday! The day after that is Sunday! Oh, for all of you going to Vivo and then to Youth, remember (or be informed) that there's a shuttle bus to our Ministry Centre! Pass this message around!

Fourth random!

I've been thinking about a certain someone, and I have no idea why. It's like so long ago since we last talked, or even met for that matter. But somehow, I start thinking about this one person again and it seems so weird. You know.. like when you think you just smile, that kinda feeling? Ah, what bliss.. Ah, shuddup Peter. You're not seeing this person anytime soon anyway.

Ok, that's all for this post. I'm dead bored, DotA had lost its appeal for now. So! I'm doing Tower Defences (TDs)!!! It's super fun! But try not to play Mauls, they lag your com real bad. And with that, I'm off!

P.S. I hear people wanting something.. ME!!!

Movie With EQ!

Yes!

I had yet another great night out! With EQ!

We were supposed to meet in Vivo for Step Up, but sadly Vivo was not showing it.

Why?

What's so good about James?! Huh? Tell me tell me.. Every cinema in Singapore is opening up so many of their halls and timeslots just for Casino Royale.. *roll eyes*

What happened to good movies like Step Up?! Well, these movies have to be put on hold for the time being. People rather see the new Bond with hot babes and the like. *roll eyes x100*

Lolx.

Anyway! We decided to meet in Tampines Mall instead! It's nearer to his home, and I have a straight bus home too! So, I was late (sorry sorry), and we met around 7.45pm.

moi

We decided to catch Happy Feet! Well, I am not impressed by their trailer, so naturally I didn't have high hopes about this movie, at all. The trailer didn't even show that this movie had a storyline, which is a huge turn-off.

awww what a cutie!!

However!! It's so so so nice! *brags x9999*

Here's why!

The animation and effects: 5/5
The voice of all the cast: 5/5
The singing: 5/5
The humour: 5/5

Goodness! I still can't believe it was so good! Ok, remember I said that there seemed to be no storyline? I was slapped left, right and center. The storyline is so touching! No, I'm not going to spoil it..

YOU GUYS HAVE GOT TO CATCH IT

I've never bragged about a movie so much before! It's very very fun as well! The humurous parts were just so corny, especially coming from The Amigos. Lolx. Kenneth would love it.. Ah corny corny..

mumble and the amigos

You know what were my favourite lines in the movie? There were 2.

Number 1!

Mumble (Elijah Wood), meets The Amigos for the first time, after being chased by a hungry seal who wants lunch..

Seal: I'm going to eat you with ketchup!
Amigos' Leader: But first you got to catch up with us!

They all then proceed running in slow-mo.. It's super hilarious!!!

Amigos: *slow-mo* Noooooo... Dooonn't caattccch meeeee...

Goodness, I almost died laughing.

Number 2!

Amigos' Leader: Hey ssshhh.. wait wait..

Everyone stops talking and listens to what he has to say.

Amigos' Leader: I hear people wanting something..

Everyone ponders over this sentence for like 10 seconds before he shouts,

Amigos' Leader: Me!!!

ROLLS ON FLOOR LAUGHING

And now, that sentence is stuck in my head.. =.='''

I think The Amigos should get an award for Best Humour in a Animated Movie or something.. They make you laugh everytime they open their mouths beaks. Lolx.

Ah man, I miss the show! I want to keep a penguin of my own! Those fluffy things are soooooooo cute!!

Ok, I'm going to stop here. EQ is feeling unwell, so you all might just want to keep him in your prayers yea? Take care everybody! Adios Amigos!

Meeting Up With Secondary School Best Friends

Finally!

After 4 years of not meeting up, and only occasional talks on the phone or msn, we 3 finally had a chance to meet!

Benedict and Leonard are my best buds in secondary school, and they are a fun bunch. We crapped, made jokes, teased teachers and even went out often to study.

I think the most the remembered of me was pink cheesecake. Yes, the very same that the youth group teased me about for some time. Lolx. These 2 knew about Phebe and how I baked an extraordinary pink cheesecake for her on her birthday. Gosh, the things people remember me by..

Benedict made the effort to ask us out tonight, and I was more than willing to meet. After all, DotA and doing nothing else bores me much.

Leonard came from school (Ngee Ann Poly) to meet us while me and Ben met at Hougang. He stays nearby my place, and so we took the NE line down to Dhoby Ghaut. We waited a whole hour for Leonard to appear. Goodness, that guy's always late huh..

caught a photo of the huge moon!

Nope. That's not the moon. Lolx. But I have to say it does look like it though. It's just a balloon advertising for Daiso on the 4th floor of Plaza Singapura. It's this great store to get Japanese items for $2!! You all have to go check it out man..

Finally, after such a long wait, Lenny arrives! And with a special guest too!

leo and jan

They are such a sweet couple. We had dinner at PastaMania, and I had my al funghi! It's goooooooooooood.

The conversations went really smoothly, it was like old best buds catching up on school, life, and girlfriends. Ben had a relationship for 17 months (goodness), after secondary school. Leo and Jan have been together for 13 months, and still going strong. And me? Heh.

ben dared me to post this photo

Never dare me to do something like that.. Lolx. He should have known better.. Tsk.

The evening was filled with endless talks about teachers, school-life, army-life (for ben), and our next meeting! I can't wait man. I mean, it's been so long and it's so good to catch up with these best buds.

It won't be long now before we meet up again, and they're expecting a cake as well.. Lolx. Well, I guess I could give them a nice one.. Pink.. Cheesecake.. anyone? =.='''

us 3 finally meeting again

Ah, Christmas is coming!! I'll post more about this topic tomorrow or the day after!! I love it, the feeling of the best season is here!

Alright, I'm off! Take care everybody!

Individual Photos

Alright! We've finally shifted and had our first great service at Vivo!

Now, I was glad to attend the service at Worship Center and my sis accompanied me! Sarah was very eager to see everyone again, especially those who's blessed her and have not seen her in such a long time.

She was very pretty, and made me realise that this should be the way it should be. We should dress well for church. A simple reason - because we are here to worship the King of Kings. When I was young, I always thought Sunday's Best was nonsense. Until someone knocked sense into me, now I realise the meaning of looking and wearing well for our weekly fellowship and worship together in church.

Having service at Vivo's GV is such a beautiful experience. Wonderful seats, great air-conditioning, and a place legal! Yes, God has brought us thus far. He's brought us nearer to the promised land, by leading us to yet another huge step - VivoCity!

Pastor preached about prayer and having great expectations. It did strike something within me. He said, "You can never accomplish something greater than your expectations". That is something really true. Therefore, we should set our visions higher, and continuously pray for the people around us to be saved. Prayer saves.

Alright, I have a photo of myself! Lolx. Oh, and I learnt a new word - Narcissism. Heh. It's quite an apt word for people like me, sometimes.

lolx

We spent a great day together as Youth didn't start this week. So! We went out! For lunch, and E-games afterwards. Oh, and someone had a first at Carl's. Guess who?

eq!

Haha, and he loved it! Well, who can't possibly love Carl's when their portions are so huge, and having it once in a while makes you feel really happy.

Ah, will update more in the days to come. Been receiving complaints that I update too irregularly. Well, you all must understand that I update when I have photos. So, give me more reason to update by letting me take more photos! Wahahahaha!

Oh, and before I go! Thanks to Janine for the beautiful and wonderful belated birthday card! Though it's extremely late (not your fault, mine really), I really like it! It's now lying still and happily in my Bible. So, you'll always see it if you see me in church. Heh.

Ok then everyone. I'm off to exercise! And then DotA, and then dinner! Wee~~ I hope I have a good one tonight! God bless everyone!

Christmas Approaching

Ah, the season everyone's been waiting for is coming! In less than a month and a half away, people will be celebrating Christmas!

At Vivo. the decorations are already up! They look fantastic, and I had to take a photo with a small decorated tree. There were bigger, brighter ones but I'll leave that when I attend Church this sunday.

Wee~~

EQ wants to bake cookies with me for ALL of you lucky tummies out there! He told me some of the gals are missing his cookies. That's all the more reason to bake some more this year so that everyone gets one!

I also have to start thinking about what to get for the people in my life, who have been a blessing and continuously helped me along the way. Gosh, I think I'm going to spend more this year than last year. Lolx.

Christmas is so so fun! Everyone should be joyful for we celebrate the birth of Christ! The Saviour who came to redeem us with His precious blood. Don't forget the true meaning of Christmas everyone!

Oh and before I go!

Here's a wonderful piece from Mariah Carey! I've never been a fan of hers till I heard her rendition of O Holy Night. She does the whistle range! Get goosebumps everyone!

Vivo Addiction

Hello Everybody! I am an official Vivo addict! Lolx. I mean, I actually think of Vivo quite alot when it comes to questions like 'where to go' or 'where to catch movies'.

Before I caught The Covenant today, I had about an hour of spare time so I decided to go to VivoMart! I thought it was called Giant, and went around looking for the latter but couldn't find it.

However! There's VivoMart! A combination of three shops! Giant, Marketplace, and Guardian! Wow! It's quite huge, and reminds me of Malaysian Hypermarts.

there's even a security guard

The Covenant was a good show man! It was filled with great effects and animations. I love these kind of shows. You know.. the kind that make you go, "wow, how did they do that ah?"

Lolx.

I met my sister and her friends after the movie and we window-shopped!

sarah

We got some stuff from VivoMart and Breadtalk before heading to the top floor to have a seat and relax. We opened up our snacks and spent an hour chatting to the sunset.

me!

It was great fun at Vivo man! I can't wait for Sunday, it's going to be so fun. I was at Cinema 11 today, and was so tempted to drop by Cinema 2 to see if anyone from church was there. Lolx.

Ok, everyone! I'm off for DotA! (what else do I rush off too.. lolx.) Take care of yourselves and drink plenty of water! Ciaoz~~

Last Service Before We Move!

Hey everybody! I attended the last service in Robert Steadman's building! Lolx. I bet Jeslin and Pam must be so sad they missed it out.

After years of being here, it's kind of heart-wrenching to know we're moving. However! We are only heading for better days ahead!

As what Aunty Anna says, "God is leading us to the promise land!"

Wee~~! Main at Vivo, and DR at Superior Building!

Well, the building doesn't seem much more superior than Robert Steadman's, but the interior looks good! It's spacious, and I believe we'll love it when all the decorations are up!

Wahahaha! Hyper-mode.

So, for all those of you who don't know, there's no youth next sunday. Instead, we'll be hanging out with our small groups after our first service at Vivo! Wow wee~~

superior leh

the address

the interior

As all of you can see, it's not done up yet so don't start screaming at me asking me why it doesn't look half as good as what we have now. Wait till it's all done, I bet it'll be so so beautiful.

Oh, and I got a nice photo of EQ with John!

nice right?!?!

Alright, after visiting our new location for youth services, we went back to church for small groups. Yes, it's that near. Actually, not that near. Pastor just made it out to seem it's that close from where we are now. Tsk.

And guess what EQ showed me when we ended small groups? Like an eager young boy who wants to show what he's accomplished to his dad, EQ performed what he's learned hard for the Missions Trip! It's no ordinary magic trick, but one that requires quick hands and speed needed of a magician. Cool stuff I tell you.

I have a video up for all that he did! I know you guys must be very eager for it too! Heh.

part 1

part 2

Oh, Pastor was having 4 different pieces of coloured garment so I thought he had a trick up his sleeves too. I got it down on video only to find out these were the colours he had to pick for the curtains in the new place. Gragh.

pastor tricked me, not with magic

And with that, I'm done. I'm tired and need my sleep DotA. Lolx. Ok everyone, have a good week ahead and see you all at VivoCity!!!

First To VivoCity, Then TCC Chalet

First of all, I want to apologise for the lack of updates. Lolx. I've had so much backlog that I didn't know where to start. Well, at least now I'm here blogging about what's been happening over the last few days.

Yay! I finally got the time to visit VivoCity. Yes, everyone has been there except me, and it was about time I did! I caught up with Mark to watch Flushed Away at GV, and wow the cinema was huge! We were lucky enough to get the back row and middle seats, in Cinema 1 - Max! Woohoo~! Oh yes, the leg space is so good! You can stretch out your legs straight without hitting the person in front of you. Lolx.

Hmm, and yes the place is huge. People who have a bad sense of direction should not try navigating their way around. It's simply too confusing. Even I, with ultra superb navigating skills, got lost finding GV. Lolx.

But at least I got there in time for the movie. I love GV, and do you know why? Because they start their shows 15 minutes from the specified time! So, people like me can catch everything without missing the start! Wahahaha!!

moi

mark

Lunch was good too! It's been a long time since I dined at Carl's, and it was a first for Mark. I still can't believe he's never had Carl's before. Lolx.

The portion is still as huge, the burgers still as delicious. I had a great meal. Oh oh, guess who sat at the table beside us? It was Sylvester. Yes, the runner-up for the first Singapore Idol. He was with his dad and sis. He looks much fresher now, with better grooming of course.

Oh yes, I have to put this photo up. It's so nice can!!

wahahaha

So, we walked around after lunch, and I am amazed by the scenery that greets you. You can see the merlion from Vivo, and there's this water-area where you can wet your legs. Perfect for couples who want to have fun (it happens a lot in tv dramas - you know.. when the gal and guy play with water?)

*roll eyes*

Oh, and there's even a playground. Kids would love to come to Vivo! Good marketing there.

not bad huh

So, that was my first trip to Vivo! Well, they'll be more to come because Church will be moving there! Wahahaha! The best thing is that I have a straight train down, and service will start later! Yayness!

TCC Chalet 2006

So, it was the evening after I went Vivo, and I was invited to a chalet organised by TCC CBJ! Whoa, I feel so honoured being invited even though I'm not working anymore. Heh. They must really love me alot.

For the first time in my life, I helped start the BBQ fire! Yay! I mean, I always go to BBQs, sit, and wait for food to arrive. I've always felt that people loved to cook the food, so might as well get them to help me with it. Hah. The last BBQ I had was some time back, music retreat 2005? Yea, such a long time ago..

the fire we started

Of course I didn't start it alone. I had a David helping me out. He's in the kitchen side, and he looks so different without his glasses. I couldn't recognise him till he said hi. Lolx.

22 year old chef

As soon as the fire got going, we were getting our tummies filled! The spread was fantastic. We had the usual - chicken wings, satay, prawn, potatoes etc. There were also a few that I've never seen on the BBQ pit before. Hash browns. Goodness.. Ham slices. =.=''

Lolx. But well, how can I be complaining when I'm having a ball of a time? Oh, and it was a nice surprise to see Zarifah after such a long time. She's my classmate's sister, and she looks so alike her sister.

such beauty

Ok guys, stop drooling already. Lolx. She's really really pretty, I have to say. It was a pity though, that she didn't stay long, but we sure had a nice chat. *evil grin*

While some of us were chatting, a group of 4 were play TaiTi. Yes, the game that every chalet has. At least now I know how it's played, unlike last time I didn't know a single thing.

Now now, what happens when the person with the most cards loses?

ta da!

He/She gets powdered by the other 3! Poor Kevlyn, everyone was so nasty to her. Well, I admit I was nasty too, not by powdering her, but by snapping her photos. Lolx.

hahahahaha

bwahahahaha

boooohooohooo.......

Hah. I got powdered too. Gragh. Better luck next time, I'm sure I'll improve at it. Lolx.

The night was still young when those who ended work at 11pm came over. After eating their fill, it was nearly 1am and no one was ready for bed.

Not wanting to sleep, 7 of us went out to Pasir Ris Park for some adventure. Lolx. We were there from 2.30am to 5am. Lolx.

We went to the maze (yes, there's a real one there), and found our way to the middle. Without lights, we relied on our mobile phones and the moonlight. Lolx. It took us a few wrong turns before we made it to the middle, and that's where I took a photo!

made it at last

Well, I have loads of other nice photos but I'm not going to upload all. Here's another of them lying on a structure and pointing up to the night morning sky. Lolx.

wishing wishing

Yup, that's all for now. For more photos from the chalet, I have them all uploaded to Shutterfly. To view all the photos, click here.

Alright, it's late and I'm off for DotA. Tomorrow I'm going to go out, and hopefully get some housework done. Take care everyone and drink loads of water alright? Byes!
