Another Off Day Well Spent

This is one day late. Had some problems with uploading of the video.

- 28th June, Wednesday -

I love my off days. I have spending them very well the last few weeks. Today was no different. I decided to go ice skating with my sister yet again, but we woke up relatively late, at 11am. I was up earlier though, to settle my character in Water Margin Online (a new MMORPG with great graphics and it's free! More info here).

My sister forgot her EZ-link card only when we got to the MRT station, and I was in a state of disbelief. Not only were we running late, now my chance of meeting EQ on time in the evening would probably be lost.

Nevertheless, she rushed home to get it because it's not worth it to pay a hefty $2 to Jurong East, when she can get the ride for 40 cents. Tsk. So unfair.

And so me, being utterly bored, decided to take a self portrait of myself yet again. Now, don't start rolling your eyes, because I'm getting good at it ok? And you'll notice the huge difference between this photo and the last one I'm posting up. Before and after exercise. Lolx.

wahahaha

The trip there was horribly long. Like I said, Jurong East is not far, it's extreme. And to think we didn't get seats from Outram Park all the way to Jurong East. Tsk. The good thing though, is that I got to talk to my sister, and that made it seem a whole lot shorter.

It was almost 1.30pm when we finally set foot at Fuji Ice Palace. Today was much MUCH less crowded than last wednesday, therefore explaining why it was much colder too. Brrr..

my sweet sister

get what I mean? much less crowded!

And my very sweet sister took a video of me ice skating. Yes, finally I can ice skate. It's like, learning to walk. It's just that now, I can walk without focusing on how to go about doing it. Lolx. I love the video alot, because I CAN skate! Lolx. And the last part of the video is roll-on-floor hilarious. The expression of my face is probably one I haven't done in years.

We did skating till about 4pm. And mind you, it's a sport. Yes, it may be cold, but you do perspire. And you're spending 99% of the time balancing you full body weight on 2 thin pieces of metal.

Skating made me real starved. I needed a good meal, and something real filling. I needed to eat lunch (mind you it's 4.30pm). Initially we wanted to Long John's, but figured otherwise. We chose KFC instead. Buddy meal was real good, but thinking about how much you perspired and then eating this isn't very.. correct aye? *guilty smile*

Anyway, I had to rush and gobble down all that good chicken and coleslaw. I was going to be late for meeting EQ for badminton! I agreed to meet him at Tampines, and I figured it would be full. Therefore, I decided on Hougang Sports Hall instead (how convenient aye?). I gave him a ring, and thank goodness he was still in school. He agreed to come Hougang instead and I was rushing my way back in the MRT.

Gragh. ALL the way back from Jurong East to Hougang, I didn't get to sit. That's 45 minutes of standing in a very crowded train of office people, and wondering if you were ever going to get home. *roll eyes*

But, I finally did and am very glad. It was just nice EQ reached too, so I arranged to meet him at the Hougang Gym. We were going to book a court when we were hit by tragic news! There were NO more courts till 9pm!!! *gasp* So, I told EQ since we couldn't do badminton, so I decided on jogging at the stadium (which is what I totally hate by the way). I don't like jogging, but EQ managed to spur me enough to go for it. Lolx. Thanks EQ!

SO! After 2 years of being out of jogging and sports, I finally jogged 1.6km! Wahahahaha! Can you believe that?! Peter jogs! EQ was pacing me all along, and pushed me to sprint the last 200 metres. It was very very tiring and painful for me, but man did I feel great after I did it all!

Hougang Stadium

my pacer, Joash!

EQ is proud to be a Victorian! And I'm proud to be a chef! Lolx. And man, was I drained from the jog. My heart felt like it was going to jump out of me anytime. Lolx. But all's good! *starts singing* I feel good..

see? so not nice!

I'm perspiring so bad! And my face is like a lobster! Lolx. My polo T spells 'Slack Taxi'. It clearing contradicts me, I just ran 1.6km ok?!?! Wow. Even I can't believe I started jogging again. *roll eyes*

EQ came for dinner at my place. Had more than enough food for seconds but he didn't need more. I had a great time talking to him about church, school, and *coughs* love life. Lolx. But it's real good to know he's training hard for nationals 2 weeks from now! Go Go EQ!!!

That sums up my very fun day. Enjoyed it so much with the people around me. Looking forward to more exercise, because exercise is the key thing to me looking good! Lolx. Hope you guys and gals feel inspired to exercise too! If Peter can do it, so can you!

Going off to make money now. Lolx. Ssshh.. Keep it low profile, I don't want people to know how I'm going to earn big bucks! Lolx. Take care people!!

God Bless!!

It's Back To School

Sunday was great. Though Pastor and the DREAM team were not back yet, James did a wonderful teaching that would have hopefully impacted us in more ways than one.

Before youth, I had a 1 on 1 with Charlene. Lolx. Lucky me aye? But we did chat a bit and we enjoyed the fellowship. The others left so fast after main, so I decided to wait for Charlene since she was having a chat with the guest speaker. Wonderful worship that sunday, I love acoustic sundays.

her beautiful smile

And of course I caught a few photos of the guys with their new haircuts. Short, no fringe, neat etc etc. All DMs would say that to these youths in DR. Lolx. Definitely not going to get caught for hair, right guys?

Ken, so Ben

Jonathan, like the T?

Yuxuan, without specs

Jana, actually smiled

Joash, the 'lil one

Jerald, reluctance

Hope you guys and gals are doing well in your first week back in school. I'm having a ball of a time at my workplace. I can't wait for friday and saturday to come. Vocal class! To all those attending, please be informed to be in church by 7pm on Friday, and 9am of Saturday.

God Bless!

A Day For Many Firsts

Today was a great day out with the 2 gentlemen man. EQ did so many things for the first time in his life, and he agreed it was the best way to spend his second last day of his holidays. Lolx. I enjoyed myself tremendously too.

First up, we met up at e-games, because we were planning to play DotA. But since all the coms were taken up and we would much rather pool, so we decided on the latter instead. Met Jon at e-games too and he was with his friends.

Pool was a first for EQ. He never pooled before, not even touched it. So, it was rather nice for me and Jerome to be able to boast we introduced this beautiful game to him. Lolx. Jerome was his shifu, and I merely sat there drawn deep in my thoughts (I wonder why.. *rolls eyes*). Lolx.

Jerome's serious streak

the 'lil one learning

It was good stuff man. And we enjoyed ourselves alot just trying to aim the balls into the pockets. EQ really had beginner's luck on him, and like his twin bro, has a bad-luck-aura on him. Lolx. He keeps making Jerome pocket the white ball. Teeheehee..

We decided to DotA after that, and thankfully we had rather good last games to make up for a defeat we had in the earlier game. I love bane elemental man, he rocks big time. Have been owning with him for many nights. Just owned with him again just now, and I really love a bane elemental that doesn't need to worry about his health. Wow.

Ok, I digressed. Tsk.

So, after DotA we did another first for EQ. Subway! Scrumptious! You get your favourite bread with the fillings of your choice, topped with your choice of vegetables, and finished off with your choice of sauce(s)! Yummy! Had a great cold cut trio footlong, and it was well worth every cent. EQ loved Subway and said he would most definitely eat it again! Lolx.

my footlong

he likes it!

so does Jerome!

Both of them loved what they had, and they both got meals. It was a very good dinner, healthy and delicious. Jerome then left for guitar class, which started at 8pm and ended at 9pm. EQ and I had to walk around for about an hour, because we agreed to head home with Jerome. So sweet of us aye? Lolx.

And yet another first for EQ! A visit to the nearly opened Cathay, was a sight for EQ, and he finally got to see the brand of ice cream that the gals are going crazy about - Ben and Jerry's. Lolx. *drools*

real nice building

EQ and I walked around a bit, checked out the washrooms because I dig nice, clean, and useable washrooms. Lolx. And I really wanted to see how much RedKen charged for highlights for hair. Didn't do it because I felt rather awkward about it. Lolx.

me doing what I do best

Self portrait! I'm really good at it now man. And I love my fringe now! It's finally long enough for all to see, and it's style-able. Lolx. Not also forgetting my lovely tail, which has evolved over the months from a mere stick-out to what I call a Phoenix Tail now. Lolx.

Next week would be finally time to dye and highlight my hair! Yay! Ben is going with me, and I think Andy is planning on joining us too! Reminds me of what Pastor calls us, the 3 scrooges. Lolx. I miss Pastor already. Tsk.

Alright, doing back-up for main tomorrow. Better get some rest now. Lolx. My sister is washing my air-con for me, at this weirdest hour of the night (1.15am). Lolx. See ya all tomorrow people!

God Bless!!

Overdue Post

This was supposed to be posted like almost a week back? Lolx. I've been so busy this week that my blogging actually has backlog. And backlog for a blogger is not good. It means you still have to post what you need to post, just that at a later timing. *roll eyes*

Last saturday before the dinner, I went down to my outlet to celebrate a colleagues birthday. Huiling turned 18 last friday, and the outlet wanted to give her a surprise on saturday. I wasn't working, so I spent 5 hours doing up a Blueberry Cheesecake upon Shi Hua's request. I miss baking so much, and it turning out so beautiful proves to me that I still have what it takes. Lolx.

My apologies to all you guys at the stayover if you thought this cake was for you people. I really did wanted to make for you guys too, just that it wasn't enough. Saw the disappointed look in all your faces when I came to the stayover without the cake.

the cake

That wasn't all we did for her. We got her a bouquet of one lily to represent her quiet nature, yet sweet smile.

Happy Birthday Huiling

She was so red when we came to her on the floor, and started singing the song at the top of our voices (well, not really). Lolx. She blushed so bad. And it was so nice when all the guests clapped along when we ended the song. Wonder if anyone would make me feel this special on my birthday? Lolx. *wink*

the chefs (why am I not one of them, lolx)

Shi Hua, the planner

Vincent

I love Vincent's hair!! But I know I'll never get this hairstyle because it doesn't suit me. Lolx. It's well styled and has a very good cut. And his highlight is just right, making him look so good. I tell you, gals and guys with great hair is a major plus point among people of the opposite gender.

Yi Hui and Jane

The 2 came back to the outlet just to join in the celebrations. Lolx. I came back too. The outlet was overcrowded with staff, and it wasn't like the floor was relaxed too. We had to wait for an opportune time before we could present the cake to Huiling, which was only at 6.30pm? Yea, that's about 1 and a half hours after I arrived. What to do, good business what. Lolx.

me!

Wow, I'm so happy I finally blogged this. It's been at the editing for a week. Yes, in case you people don't know, I dabble with Picasa and PhotoImpression to make the photos look better and more radiant. Little things that make a huge difference.

Meeting Jerome and EQ in about an hour's time for some hanging out. Will be taking more photos and posting again tonight. Tomorrow church, and I wonder who's preaching for Main and Youth. Everyone has their fingers crossed for Aunty Anna to do Youth.

Alright, time to get ready for later. Hope you guys are enjoying your second last day of the holidays. Oops, shouldn't have reminded you guys. Lolx. Anyways, guess the one month holidays has served it's purpose well for you guys aye?

God Bless

Vanessa's Birthday Dinner

I finally got home and took out my contacts. So tiring! I've not worn my contacts for a longer time than this. 16 hours! Wow. My eyes actually survived that long. Lolx.

Someone turns 19 this sunday! We celebrated her birthday two days in advance, and we did dinner tonight. The rain spoilt our plans to walk to Pasir Ris Park. So, we had to take a bus there and the gals took forever. Lolx.

the birthday gal

Vanessa was so pretty tonight. Lolx. Oh, by the way, that bouquet is not from me. I couldn't have spent so much for a bouquet (well Valentine's another matter altogether ya?). The bouquet was very sweet of Shawn. Yes, our Shawn. Lolx. What a nice circle of life aye?

I got a few photos with this lady and the pictures came out with us looking like siblings. Lolx. I mean the poses, not the facial features ok?

agree?

I didn't get anything for dinner while everyone else had Sambal Stingray with rice. It was a blessing in disguise because I got to eat 1/3 of Vanessa's, and 1/2 of Gina's Hokkien Mee. It was a good time of fellowship and we enjoyed every single moment.

the gang

From Left: Gina, Aloy, Natalie, Vanessa, Shalenee, Emelia

What a great bunch to be around with. They simply loved my jokes aye? Right right? Lolx. My lame jokes seemed to have captured their attention. And the figuring out of the dollar note literally took their attention for like 15 minutes? Lolx.

And this was probably the funniest thing I heard someone say tonight. Made me laugh quite hard. Emelia is so random.

Emelia: That's all the stalls with food?
Gina: Ya.
Emelia: That's all?! Full stop? No comas?

So funny man! If you get it, that is. Lolx. She is so funny. *pengz*

star gazing

Honestly, there were no stars. The sky was covered with fury red clouds that spelt a storm anytime. I'm just glad it withheld it's wrath and not use it on this very special night. Lolx.

So, after taking so many photos (obviously I can't post all of the here), and laughing so much, we proceeded to meet another friend of Vanessa's. Julia came all the way down to Pasir Ris just to meet Vanessa. Hugs are a common thing among these gals. Lolx.

We then went to Starbucks @ Tampines for a drink and it was already 11.15pm. Gina would be leaving for the last train, while a few of us would be staying and then sharing the cab home.

And then, I remembered! $5 voucher!! Thank you Moriah!! Lolx. It was just so opportune, that I could finally get to use it. Lolx. And it was $6.70 well spent (I only paid $1.70), a Caramel Frappucino. Real delicious.

my cuppa

Julia and Vanessa

Of course I took alot of scandalous photos of Gina and Vanessa. But I shan't pose them for obvious reasons. Lolx. Bearing in mind that I have young ones reading my blog is enough reason for me to keep it at G rating, without the need for adult supervision. Lolx.

Vanessa and Gina

Rock on! Yea, that's what they were trying to impress upon everyone out there. The night was a real good one. Just a little sad that I felt a little left out among all of them, who were coursemates. But nonetheless, I'm thankful I dragged myself for it, and I didn't regret it.

Vanessa, Happy Birthday. Here's me wishing you the best for the year ahead. Seek the Lord and grow deeper in Him. Trust Him in all that you face, and always know that I'm here for you. *hugs*

Alright, it's late and I'm on the phone with Jerome at 2.13am. He's practically silent because I told him that I couldn't concentrate while talking to him on the phone. Sorry dude. So, I'm going to end my post here and have some quality time with him. Lolx.

Night to all my readers.

God Bless!

That's Weird

So, I didn't go to work yesterday because I was sick. Yea, playing too much in a day can really tire you out. I stayed home and rested all day. Didn't go out though, but stayed home and DotA. Amazingly, I saw Jerome online and we played a few games along with Ken.

At night, I played with the public, and as I entered this game, I got the weirdest message. Lolx. I spoofed my name as Gravija and entered the game. Almost immediately, someone gave me a message saying,

i-forgot-his-nick: omg
Gravija: Hi everyone
i-forgot-his-nick: Hey Gravija, by any chance is your name Peter?
Gravija: Er.. why?
i-forgot-his-nick: Because I read your blog.

=.='''

Wow. Someone reads my blog and I don't even know him. To further prove whether he really knew which blog I write, I asked him a few other questions.

Gravija: How old am I?
i-forgot-his-nick: 19. I think.
Gravija: Ok..
i-forgot-his-nick: And you got this handsome anime on your profile.
Gravija: *thinks* Yea, that's right.

This guy really reads my blog man. And he's 13. So, being very interested, I wanted to know how he knew my blog.

i-forgot-his-nick: You know Teri? From your church.
Gravija: Er.. how old is she?
i-forgot-his-nick: 13, same class as me.

I don't remember any Teri in youth, and so I thought really hard.

Gravija: OH!!
i-forgot-his-nick: You know her?
Gravija: Don't tell me it's my cousin..
i-forgot-his-nick: Wow, what a small world.

Ok. So let me get this straight. Teri, also my cousin, knows my blog. She probably knew it from Uncle Sze Cheng, who is my maternal uncle, and her maternal uncle too. The guy finally introduced himself as Jing En, a classmate of Teri's. He says he reads my blog because Teri finds my blog interesting. Wow. I had no idea so many people read my blog. Lolx.

And guess what. I saw someone enter the game called wess. And thinking how small this world could be, I asked him a question.

Gravija: So I guess Wess knows Jerome ya?
wess: Er, why?
i-forgot-his-nick: I know Jerome! I read his blog from your blog!

=.='''

So, this means anyone who reads my blog reads my links too. Wow. Jerome, you actually get read because of me. People actually know you. Lolx. Go update your blog. NOW.

Nothing to say man. Teri, if you're reading this, thank you for introducing people to my blog. Lolx. Amazing how the world seems so small when you blog and people know you.

Tonight's going to be great! Meeting Gina and Vanessa for the latter's birthday dinner. Definitely going to take some nice pics to put up for all you people to see. Lolx.

Now then, just a stray thought. I could be working one day, when someone comes up to me and says, "Hey, you're Peter, the guy with a blog and calls himself Gravija right?" Like I said, just a stray thought. Don't think it'll ever happen. Lolx.

My Off Day - What A Blast

This post is going to be rather long. I've not had such an exciting day for such a long time. I always believe a day like this comes rarely, and I must blog about it when I get the chance to! Whoa, what a wonderful day, loved every moment of it!

So, decided to join my sis and her friends to go Ice Skating this morning. I mean, this would be the first time in my life (yes, after 20 years of living on this earth). I was woken up by my sis' banging on the door, trying desperately to wake me from my sleep. I'm glad I dragged myself out of bed, and I will never regret that decision. Never ever. Lolx.

However! It was so so far away! The mrt ride there was 45 minutes! All the way from Hougang to Jurong East is no joke man. But nonetheless, we got there finally, and was late by 20 minutes. Lolx. Typical singaporeans aye?

Fuji Ice Palace

Such an 'orh biang' name. The place neither resembled Fuji nor a palace. Tsk. Lolx. I'm just really confused why they named the place what they named it. But nevermind. Let's just move on shall we?

look at the crowd!

No one expected it to be this crowded. Gosh. It was practically packed. But since we're here and ready to go, what's a small crowd to us aye? Tickets were SGD8.40 per student (yes I'm one ok?), and it's unlimited number of hours because it's wednesday. No wonder it's packed.

me myself I myself me

Want to know how many friends Sarah brought? She got 5 I think, and Vanessa (one of her friends), brought another 3. Wow.

what a huge group!

my lovely skates

And finally! We got down to some skating. My goodness! Ice skating is so so so so so tough. Lolx. Try balancing your body weight on a thin piece of metal, AND, on ice. *pants*

But no worries! I easily caught on, and managed to pose for the camera! Wahahaha! I'm a pro when it comes to taking pictures. (no matter where, how, why, when! I'll always be ready for a snap! I think.)

nice? nice? nice?

And yes, if you're wondering if I did fall. Sad to say, yes. I fell like 5-6 times? Goodness, pain pain pain. And when you fall, you get yourself wet. My jeans and gloves got so wet, I was wondering if they ever would dry.

get what I mean?

Half my jeans were wet! *roll eyes* Tried really hard not to fall, but I still did. But however, I accomplised what I wanted for the day! I managed to skate on my own, with rhythm and style. *play victorious music* Lolx. I actually could skate. Wow.

the weird things gals do

Well, not really weird considering I took part in that picture. Lolx. See which hand belongs to me?

Hint
: the watch.

shoes too..

Lolx. What an awesome time we had man. Really cool, pun intended. And by the way, ice skating is a sport. You actually will perspire when you go for it. The irony, yea. Had lunch at the food court after 2 hours of practise, and the fare was rather disappointing for me. Won't be elaborating on it though.

The day didn't end there. We decided to go over to Vanessa's church for pool! Yes, Vanessa, that Vanessa. And yes, Heart of God.

Really reminds me of the times we had in Science Arts Building. You guys remember the famous table soccer? Yea, they had it here too. I was so happy when I saw the table. Haven't touched one of these in ages.

Sarah and Vanessa (yes yes..)

But that was not the main attraction aye? As I said earlier, we were here for pool! Beat that! A church will a pool table! Not the best, but definitely worth having one! Pastor, get one now!!

the game that rocks

So it was table soccer, pool, pool, table soccer, pool, pool, pool (does it ever end? yes, it does). When I noticed it was 6.30pm, I realised I got an important appointment at 7pm! It was to meet my twin brother! Fortunately, I was on time and so was he. Was so happy to see him, because he came from training, and like me, had a rather hectic day.

long john's for dinner!

*wink* look in that pair of lovely eyes

Wonderful dinner. Thanks for the great company EQ, really loved it. Oh yea, he's my twin brother. You want to know why? Go ask him, he'll tell you. Right EQ?

So, what more can I add to this already very interesting day? More of course! *pumped* I made a video of EQ doing streetball moves. Wow, simply wow. He's very good at what he does man. I mean, I know he was good all along, but this good?

See it for yourself. Don't blink.

Amazing right?!?! Crazy stuff there bro, truly something (the video) worth playing over and over many times. I'm proud of what you can achieve and more to come! Keep it up, and don't stop inventing new moves alright? Lolx.

Did the night end there?! No, of course not! (I know some of you must be thinking whether all these happened in 12 hours. Lolx) We decided to pay Skate Park a visit @ Somerset. Wanted to go check it out since I heard about it from my cousin, Bernard.

nice stuff these guys do

These guys are awesome! Wow. The skate, blade, cycle, and do the scooter with so much skill. Yea, you're right EQ, Jerome missed out on such a wonderful night.

So, was in awe at the guys doing what they were doing, when I saw someone who looked like Bernard. And I was telling EQ,

Me: That guy looks like my cousin.
EQ: That one?
Me: Yea.

And then.. The guy turned his head and looked at me.

DANG DANG DANG DANG

Wow, like this day could get any better/weirder. Lolx. He was actually doing his stuff on the scooter. And mind you, a secondary 2 student like him going on high slopes doing stunts. *holds breath*

And we left the park at 9.30pm. I decided to take the train back with EQ to Tampines, and take bus 72 from the interchange. I do it all the time with Ken, so I figured why not?

We grabbed a drink at Macs, the 24-hour one, and guess what? It was packed. And people there were not really eating food, they were just having drinks (which seemed like they were consumed more than an hour ago). Why?

what else?

Screen reads Portugal 2 Mexico 1, 31 minutes. *roll eyes*

=.='''

Obviously like me EQ doesn't dig the game that much like everyone else does. His thoughts of it are the same as mine. Why else we call ourselves twins for, if we can't even think the same? Lolx.

not digging it at all

Lolx. What did I say? But the drinks were great though, and people stood outside the glass just to have a peek how the game was going. Tsk. Like, go get cable man, if you want to know the World Cup so well.

Alright, that finally ended my day and night out. We initially wanted to stay to see a goal being scored, not to join in the roar, but to see how these people could cheer so loud when 1 of 22 people on the field scores a ball.. We figured against it. The cheer would have probably spoilt my whole perfect day. Lolx. And anyway, we were too tired to stay on.

AND BECAUSE I NEEDED TO BLOG.

hur hur. You guys better have liked this post I tell you. Took me so long to upload all 18 photos (all edited and well resized for better viewing pleasure), and the video too. Lolx.

YES!

I'm finally done! Need to go get some sleep now. Tomorrow I'm working 8 hours, and I can't wait to make more guests happy with my service. You guys have a great day too alright?

God Bless!!
